Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY) is an old age pension scheme for all land holding Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs) in the country. It is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme for the entry age group of 18 to 40 years. The Scheme is effective from the 9th August, 2019.

This PM Kisan Maan dhan Yojana is only for Small and Marginal farmers. Farmers with Cultivable land up to 2 hectares as per land records of the concerned State/UT would be eligible. Only those farmers whose age lies between 18 to 40 years can apply for this PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana.

Objectives of PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojna 

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana is brought into action to serve as an old age pension plan for the farmers in the country Pension scheme for all Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs) To secure the lives of the farmers.

Benefits of PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojna

Farmers will get a minimum assured pension of Rs 3000 per month after attaining the age of 60 years. If the farmer dies. Then the farmer’s wife will be entitled to receive 50% pension as family pension., Family pension is applicable only to the spouse.

A total of 2,05,0129 farmers have been registered under Kisan Man Dhan Yojana. The government has introduced this social security scheme only for old marginal and small farmers with at least 2 hectares of land. Farmers above 60 years old can get assured Rs. 3000 per month as pension under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana.

All the small and marginal farmers (who own cultivable land up to 2 hectares) as per the land records of the concerned State/UT) and are aged between 18 years to 40 years are eligible to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana and can avail all the benefits of this Scheme.
